Kuzuzangpola! My journey to Bhutan was nothing short of magical. Nestled within the majestic Himalayas, this serene kingdom offers a unique blend of breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and warm hospitality. From the moment I stepped off the plane and was found by my guides, Kiran and Karwang, I knew I had entered a realm unlike any other. From day one of inquiry with Breathe Bhutan, to my departure, the whole team was amazing in procuring an unforgettable trip for me.

Upon arriving, I was immediately captivated by the stunning natural beauty that surrounded me. The lush green valleys amoungst towering mountain peaks during November was so clear and fresh. I watched the migration of the black necked cranes, to trekking through the trails of Paro and Punakha I found myself in awe of the pristine rivers as we had a lunch in a glamping riverside experience and the endless rolling hills that seemed to stretch beyond the horizon. I enjoyed a morning of archery lessons by my guides, and later enjoyed a tournament just by way of driving through town.Bhutan is steeped in tradition and spirituality, which I was fortunate to experience firsthand by way of my fantastic guides. The warmth and friendliness of the Bhutanese people made me feel incredibly welcome, as they shared stories about their way of life and the significance of their traditions. We hiked through areas that were perched by nomads, soon to leave the area for the season.

My guides made sure I tasted all kinds of types of foods in the areas that we traveled to. The culinary experience in Bhutan was a delightful journey of flavors. I savored traditional dishes like Ema Datshi (spicy cheese and chili stew) and Momos (steamed dumplings), each bite reflecting the local ingredients and culinary practices. The combination of spices and fresh produce made every meal a feast for the senses. Dining with local families allowed me to gain insights into their culture and daily life, making my experience even more enriching. My guides always teaching and telling me history behind beliefs, and the way of life, and remedies and family ways. It was so warm and welcoming. Ama whose family home is open to share to guests, was so special and giving and as well as proud of her land the beauty and the organic gardens that they farm.

Meeting the young monks and nuns that study or life and are so happy to share in the time they do have together and life beyond. I experienced butter tea made for us by one of the young nuns, eager to learn English, and I experienced a couple of blessings by monks while wandering through the countryside.By the time my last day came, I was up in the early morning in the dark to begin the 2k feet hike up to the Tigers Nest, at 10k feet. We had the path to ourselves, but for 5 pack dogs that led us up to the Monastery. I was the first to open the gates in the peace and quiet, above the clouds. To top the day, almost, I was invited to experience a wooden tub with hot water and herbs, heated by rocks from the fire pit.

My beautiful experience in Bhutan was a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and tranquility. Whether wandering through ancient temples, enjoying breathtaking hikes, or engaging with the warm-hearted locals, each moment felt like a cherished memory. I wholeheartedly recommend Breathe Bhutan to help in organizing a trip of a lifetime for anyone seeking a transformative travel experience that truly resonates with the soul. Thanks to the team, Kinley, Jigme, Kezang, and Parbati, and my guides that I highly recommend to request for your trip, Kiran and Karwang.
