In October 2025, Melissa Earl embarked on a 10-day journey through Bhutan with Breathe Bhutan, guided by Rattu and supported by driver Kuenga. From start to finish, the team’s warmth, expertise, and dedication made the trip both safe and deeply enriching.
Rattu’s skill as both a guide and a photographer added a creative and educational dimension to the tour, while Kuenga’s competent and careful driving ensured safety even on Bhutan’s most challenging mountain roads. Their humor, kindness, and knowledge kept every moment enjoyable and memorable. Melissa notes that the pair’s thoughtful guidance made her wish the trip could have lasted even longer.

So impressed with this company and with our amazing guide and driver, Rattu and Kuenga! Both of them were infinitely kind, knowledgeable, and helpful, always ready to answer our questions, have interesting chats, and keep us smiling. Rattu is an excellent photographer as well as an experienced guide, and Kuenga is an extremely competent driver who always made us feel safe even on the craziest mountain roads. We spent 10 days with them and I would have happily spent 10 more.
We also had the opportunity to have dinner with Mr Kinley and some of his family/friends, a wonderful evening that made me appreciate the company even more. They really do seem to value their guests’ enjoyment and fulfillment while in Bhutan, as well as the employees’ well-being.
I thought the itinerary was really well designed and I appreciated that it had some flexibility—nothing but good things to say about the sights, the food, the accommodation, and the people. We had an incredible, unforgettable trip and I know it’s largely thanks to these guys (we met some travelers with a different company who were not so lucky)—so a big thank you to everyone who made our visit so special! 10/10 would recommend!
