Against this backdrop, Bhutan will host the Global Peace Prayer Festival 2025 — a gathering dedicated to compassion, reflection, and global healing.
The festival will take place in Thimphu, Bhutan from 4 to 19 November 2025. Under the theme “One Earth. One Humanity. One Prayer,” the festival will bring together a remarkable assembly of revered Buddhist masters, practitioners, scholars, and peace advocates from across the world. This event is more than a ceremony — it’s a global moment to breathe together for peace.

The festival will feature sacred prayers and rituals such as the Bazaguru recitation, Kalachakra Empowerment, and Jabshi Dhoechog, representing a spiritual offering to the world at a time of division and unrest. Alongside the main ceremonies, there will be an exhibition of Kalachakra art and artifacts and scholarly seminars, deepening understanding of these teachings and practices. To make it truly global, all major events will be livestreamed, allowing people from around the world to take part in the shared prayer for peace.Importantly, this is not a closed event. The Global Peace Prayer Festival 2025 is open to everyone — Buddhist practitioners from any tradition, spiritual seekers, scholars, and anyone moved by the vision of a more peaceful world.
