What Does a Breathe Bhutan Package Look Like?

We’re not just planning a holiday—we’re entrusted with something that may be once-in-a-lifetime visit. And we take that to heart. Our package is thoughtfully crafted to ensure a seamless, comfortable and flexible journey with the aim to provide The Authentic and Immersive Bhutan Experience.

You don’t have to worry about things going wrong or invest time researching and planning. Once you confirm your travel dates, all we need from you are your interests, travel style, and personal hobbies — and we’ll design a journey around that. We take care of crafting the itinerary, choosing your accommodations, curating experiences, processing travel documents and managing logistics, so you can live the experience without having to invest time or worry about things going wrong.

At Breathe Bhutan, attentiveness doesn’t stop once your itinerary is confirmed. From the very first message, every question is answered quickly and personally — no delays, no generic replies. We know a once-in-a-lifetime journey deserves a human touch at every stage.

Even the small details are handled with care. For example, we personally check in every guest for their flights to and from Bhutan, often rising early to secure the best possible window seats before it runs out. While other companies leave this to the traveler, we see it as part of our responsibility — ensuring that your first glimpse of Bhutan is framed by the mighty Himalayan mountain ranges.

We don’t believe in cutting corners or reducing the richness of your Bhutan journey just to meet a lower price point. Instead, we choose to invest in:

  • Food and beverage as an essential part of the trip, with meaningful, memorable dining woven into the experience.
  • Mineral water and refreshments throughout your journey. We keep you comfortable on the road with complimentary bottled drinking water, tea and coffee whenever we stop, and a selection of light snacks during longer drives.
  • Authentic interactions with locals, not staged encounters created for visitors.
  • Fairly paid, handpicked guides who genuinely care and bring Bhutan’s culture alive.
  • Curated and exclusive experiences such as blessings, private gatherings and other cultural immersions.
  • Thoughtfully designed, authentic and immersive itineraries rather than cookie-cutter tours.
  • Greater flexibility and guest-led choices, so the trip reflects your pace and interests.
  • Gifts and surprise activities that also benefit farmers, monasteries, and small businesses.
  • A cushion for unexpected needs, so your trip remains stress-free even when plans change.
  • Our tours are intentionally crafted so that tourism benefits are shared across local communities—supporting farmers, artisans, guides, drivers, family-run lodges, and small businesses.
  • You may never need it, but we see ourselves as your local guardian — someone who quietly looks out for your wellbeing, making sure you’re not misled or overcharged, helping if you fall sick, stepping in during unforeseen troubles like missed flights or lost cards, and smoothing out the small bumps that travel can bring. It’s a safety net most guests never have to use, but one that brings peace of mind knowing we’re always there if you do

We also recognize that not everything goes as planned. Treks may be cut short, flights may be delayed, or personal circumstances may shift. When that happens, we do everything possible to ensure there are no additional costs on your end.

For example, a family recently had to cut short their trek due to altitude sickness. With just a few phone calls and the goodwill we’ve built with partners, we arranged complimentary hotel rooms, covered their meals, and personally hosted them on alternative experiences—all at no added cost.

This kind of flexibility and commitment isn’t something we can price in—it’s simply how we operate. Because at the end of the day, we treat every guest the way we’d want to be treated if the roles were reversed.

Our signature “Authentic & Immersive Bhutan Experience” typically includes:
